SAMS bronze medal – SAMS

The SAMS Bronze Medal for outstanding honours students in either Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is provided to universities in South Africa, to be awarded to their best honours student in this discipline. Universities that wish to make use of this service should contact the SAMS General Secretary. The medal comes with a certificate and has space on the reverse side for the awarding institution to engrave the name of the recipient. The medal and accompanying certificate is provided free of charge to all universities for which the relevant departments/schools are institutional members of SAMS institutional member universities. Universities that do not fulfil this criterion of institutional membership may also avail themselves of this service, but such institutions will be required to cover the cost of producing and despatching the medals, as set by SAMS.
