Dear SAMS member,
The 69th Annual Congress of the South African Mathematical Society (SAMS) will be hosted by the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg from 1–4 December 2026.
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) invites SAMS members who are interested in organizing a special session as part of the congress programme to submit an expression of interest. Interested persons are kindly requested to inform Dr Wen-Chi Kuo via email (wen.kuo@wits.ac.za) of their intention to organize a special session, together with a proposed title for the session.
A short email is all that is required.
To assist with planning, expressions of interest should be submitted by Friday, 26 June 2026.
The following is an alphabetically ordered list of special sessions that were organized at past SAMS Congresses. Previous organizers of these sessions are invited to indicate whether they would be willing to continue hosting their respective sessions in 2026. In addition, proposals for new special sessions are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
